About
Dr. Mohammed Saifuddin is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Science at International Islamic University Chittagong, Bangladesh. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Dr. Saifuddin received another MSc degree in Biotechnology and PhD in Soil & Root Mechanics from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. The focus of his doctoral dissertation was to enhance the physiological, mechanical and chemical properties of potential slope plants. His PhD research falls within the area of root-soil interaction, hydro-mechanical properties of plants, plant water relations, root architecture, and rooting biomass. Then he joined as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Malaya Malaysia. His research interest includes plant chemistry, root-soil matrix, Lube oil and renewable energy. He has over forty research publications in reputed peer-reviewed international journals and presented his research more than six national and international conferences at home and abroad. In other tasks, he has been guest reviewer for different international Journals. Dr. Saifuddin works with different industries, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) for Proficiency Testing purposes, BMW for Lube oil (SAE 5W40) approval and DNV-GL for Industrial compliance issue. For his research efforts, he was awarded IIUC Research Achievement Award in 2023 for ‘outstanding research’ as well. His current research interest are as follows
