Qualification

(ক) প্রার্থীর সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়ে সম্মানসহ স্নাতক ও স্নাতকোত্তর ডিগ্রী থাকতে হবে।
(খ) প্রার্থীর এসএসসি/সমমান ও এইচএসসি সমমান উভয় পরীক্ষায় স্কেল ৫ এর মধ্য নূন‍্যতম ৪ থাকতে হবে।
(গ) প্রার্থীকে স্নাতক ও স্নাতকোত্তর ডিগ্রী উভয় পরীক্ষায় প্রথম শ্রেণী/সিজিপিএ- এর ক্ষেত্রে ৩.৫০ থাকতে হবে। তবে শুধুমাত্র বাংলা ও ইংরেজি বিষয়ের ক্ষেত্রে স্নাতক ও স্নাতকোত্তর পর্যায়ে স্কেল ৪ এর মধ্যে যে কোন একটিতে ৩.৫০ ও অন‍্যটিতে ৩.২৫ সিজিপিএ থাকলেও চলবে।
(ঘ) প্রার্থীর সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়ে পিএইচডি ডিগ্রী থাকলে এসএসসি/এইচএসসি/স্নাতক সম্মান/স্নাতকোত্তর পর্যায়ের যেকোনো একটিতে ফলাফল শিথিলযোগ‍্য। তবে কোন পরীক্ষায় তৃতীয় বিভাগ গ্রহণযোগ্য নহে।
(ঙ) প্রকৌশল বিষয়ের ক্ষেত্রে ৪ বছরের স্নাতক ডিগ্রীধারী প্রার্থীকে লেকচারার (Lecturer) পদে নিয়োগ দান করা যাবে।
(চ) প্রার্থীর সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়ে পিএইচডি/এমফিল/ ২য় মাস্টার্স (থিসিস সহ) / Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) অথবা Times Higher Education (THE) র‍্যাংকিং বিদেশী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাস্টার্স ডিগ্রী/ইমপ‍্যাক্ট ফেক্টর জার্নালে প্রকাশনা থাকলে অগ্রাধিকার দেয়া হবে।

প্রকাশনায় পয়েন্ট (Point) পলিসি:

১. IIUC কর্তৃক অনুমোদিত ও গ্রহণযোগ্য জার্নালে প্রকাশনার জন্য Sole Author পাবেন ০১ পয়েন্ট, Principal Author/ Corresponding Author পাবেন ০.৭৫ পয়েন্ট, এবং Co-author পাবেন ০.৫ পয়েন্ট।
২. ISI এর ক্ষেত্রে Q1 & Q2 Ges Scopus Gi †ÿ‡Î Q1 র‌্যাংকিং জার্নালে প্রকাশনার জন্য Sole Author পাবেন ০২ পয়েন্ট, Principal Author/ Corresponding Author পাবেন ১.৫ পয়েন্ট এবং Co-author পাবেন ০১ পয়েন্ট।
৩. Scopus Indexed Conference paper এর জন্য Sole Author পাবেন ০১ পয়েন্ট, Principal Author/ Corresponding Author পাবেন ০.৭৫ পয়েন্ট এবং Co-author পাবেন ০.৫ পয়েন্ট।
৪. Non-Scopus Indexed Peer Reviewed Conference paper এর জন্য Sole Author পাবেন ০.৭৫ পয়েন্ট, Principal Author/ Corresponding Author পাবেন ০.৫ পয়েন্ট এবং Co-author পাবেন ০.২৫ পয়েন্ট।
৫. Brand Publisher কর্তৃক প্রকাশিত Academic Book Chapter এর জন্য Sole Author পাবেন ০১ পয়েন্ট, Principal Author পাবেন ০.৭৫ পয়েন্ট এবং Co-author পাবেন ০.৫ পয়েন্ট।
৬. প্রয়োজনের তুলনায় কোন প্রার্থীর Q1 (ISI/Scopus) & Q2 (ISI) জার্নালে অতিরিক্ত ০৪ পয়েন্ট থাকলে প্রমোশনের জন্য ০১ বৎসর রেয়াত পাবেন। তবে এ রেয়াত চাকুরী জীবনে ০১ বার যে কোন স্তরে ভোগ করতে পারবেন।
 
পূর্ববর্তী অভিজ্ঞতার ক্ষেত্রে পলিসি:
১. যে কোন সরকারী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় অথবা UGC র‌্যাংকিং এ Grade-A ক্যাটাগরী প্রাইভেট বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অভিজ্ঞতা ১০০% গ্রহণ করা হবে।
২. UGC র‌্যাংকিং এ Grade-B ক্যাটাগরী প্রাইভেট বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অভিজ্ঞতা ৫০% এবং Grade-C এর ক্ষেত্রে ২৫% গ্রহণ করা হবে।
৩. QS অথবা THE র‌্যাংকিং Foreign University এর ক্ষেত্রে অভিজ্ঞতা ১০০% গ্রহণ করা হবে।

অন্যান্য:
১. পেশকৃত কোন প্রকাশনা বা এর অংশ বিশেষ ঢ়ষধমরধৎরুবফ বলে প্রমাণিত হলে প্রার্থীর বিরুদ্ধে যথোপযুক্ত ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হবে।
২. কোন প্রবন্ধ প্রার্থীর ডিসিপ্লিনের সাথে সম্পর্কহীন হলে উক্ত প্রবন্ধটি পদোন্নতির জন্য গ্রহণযোগ্য বলে বিবেচিত হবে না।
৩. প্রমোশনের/নতুন নিয়োগের আবেদনের সাথে মূল সনদপত্রের ফটোকপি অবশ্যই জমা দিতে হবে।
৪. প্রার্থীর ঞবধপযরহম ঊভভরপরবহপু জধঃরহম (ঞঊজ) অবশ্যই সন্তোষজনক হতে হবে।
৫. প্রমোশনের ক্ষেত্রে প্রার্থীর স্ব-স্ব বিভাগে প্রশাসনিক কাজে অবদান বিবেচনায় নেয়া হবে।
৬. প্রার্থীকে অবশ্যই নৈতিকতার মানদন্ডে উত্তীর্ণ হতে হবে।

Publication Policy:
A. Publication Points from Articles:

i) Requirements for promotion to Assistant Professor: One point out of two as Lecturer shall have to be published in the Journals indexed in Scopus.

ii) Requirements for promotion to Associate Professor: two points out of five as Assistant Professor shall have to be published in the Journals indexed in Scopus.

iii) Requirements for promotion to Professor: Three points out of eight as Associate Professor shall have to be published in the Journals indexed in Scopus.

iv) If the articles are not possible to publish in the above-mentioned indexed Journals by the faculty members (a) Shariah & Islamic Studies and (b) Arts & Humanities, more 2 (two) points excepting basic requirement shall have to be published in each position. For Faculty of Shariah & Islamic Studies, one sole article out of two must be published in the standard peer reviewed Journals of the Universities of Arabic World.

v) Al least 1 (one) article must be published by sole/principal authorship in IIUC Journal for each level of promotion (i.e. Assistant Professor, Associate Professor & Professor).

vi) 50?ceptance letter of the articles to be published in Scopus indexed Journals will be considered for promotion. Validity of the Acceptance Letter will be one year from issuing date. If not published within one year, Annual Increment will be stopped / held up & Confirmation of Service will not be considered.

vii) Required number of articles in the Peer Reviewed non Scopus Journal must be published. Acceptance Letter will not be considered / accepted.

viii) If any article is not published within one year after getting the acceptance letter, then another article must be published in same standard Journal. After publication of the article, promotion will be activated.

ix) Articles published in Predatory Journals (Black listed Journals) will not be considered.

x) Plagiarism (similarity index) upto 20% with less than 3% matches from a single source will be considered.

xi) Turnitin (Plagiarism) checking report will not be required for the Articles accepted/published in Scopus indexed Journals.

xii) Percentage of contributions in the Article/Paper must be mentioned in the application, if it is published jointly.

xiii) Article published in Public University Journal or Public University Faculty Journal (University of Chittagong, Dhaka, Rajshahi, Jahangir Nagar, BUET, CUET, SUST etc.) & Category-A Private Universities (if peer reviewed process is followed) will be considered.

xiv) Article published in the Journal of National Society (if peer review process is followed) will be considered.

xv) Online Journal publishing continuously minimum yearly 2 (two) volumes for consecutive 5 (five) years will be considered, provided the Journal is published in printed form by recognized Universities (home & abroad) or by a recognized publishing Group/Agent/Organization. But this condition will not be required for Scopus indexed Journals.


xvi) During promotion, Acceptance Letter for publications in the IIUC Journals will be considered. Until publication of the accepted articles of IIUC Journals, the application for promotion to the next higher post will not be considered.

B. Publication Points from Conference Proceedings:

i) Maximum 30% of the total required points from Scopus Indexed Conference proceedings may be considered for promotion at any level.

ii) Maximum 20% of the total required points from Non-Scopus Peer-Reviewed Conference proceedings may be considered for promotion at any level.

iii) In case of both Scopus & non-Scopus Peer Reviewed Conference proceedings:
- If Scopus contributes 20% or more but less than 30%, points will be counted solely from Scopus in total.
- If Scopus contributes less than 20%, points may be claimed from both sources but the total points shall not exceed 20%.

C. For getting Annual Increment:

i) Assistant Professor/Associate Professor will get his/her yearly increment provided he/she has a worthy publication/research work in a reputed peer reviewed Journal in a period of 2 (two) years. Otherwise their Annual Increment will be postponed.
